LP-Mototour offers you a unique and tailor-made programme based on your driving proficiency and dependent on whether you are looking simply for a beautiful experience or for a more demanding adventure.

Our approach is to provide the biker with an unparalleled experience combining riding through the most picturesque villages and national parks or simply discovering the open road wherever it leads, the choice is yours. The bike riding will be complemented by staying in beautiful hand picked individual hotels along the Mekong or in the middle of the jungle where you can experience the diversity of both local and international gastronomy.

A tailor-made offer

We aim to build the adventure around you so as to ensure that the tour is specifically tailored to meet your individual needs. This includes the following:

  • All tours are predefined before your arrival to ensure that all your expectations are fully met;
  • Provision of high-quality bikes based on either Honda CRF 250 L’s or Honda XR 250’s along with equipment and accessories dependant on your riding proficiency, size and specific needs;
  • As no luggage is allowed on the bikes we will collect and take your luggage on to each stage of your trip (which will allow you to travel more freely and safely so that you can fully enjoy your trip);
  • By request, the possibility of transporting your non-biker companions/family to pick-up points and hotels selected for overnight stays;
  • There will be some riding on dirt roads and fording of rivers, though nothing too difficult, and always respecting individual riding proficiency;
  • Tours combine riding reasonable distances with time to relax when arriving at your accommodation;
  • Reservation of luxury hotels in unique locations including breakfast and evening meals based on your specific requests or according to our pre-organised tour arrangements;
  • All our tour guides have been approved by the Laos government and are accredited English speaking guides;
  • Transfer to/from the airport based on your request and a welcome drink on arrival in LP-Mototour’s premises;
  • Full pre-tour briefing ensuring that any additional requests can be facilitated;

A clear & detailed package

What is included in the price of our tours?

  • Your motorbike, insurance, fuel and taxes
  • Basic safety equipment for bikers including helmet, gloves and chest protector
  • The price of entrance to sites, national parks and waterfalls visited
  • Accommodation in a double room (supplement for single room on request) on a Dinner (evening meal), Bed and Breakfast basis
  • Various transfer tickets on ferries, bridge crossings and other tolls
  • Police and other local taxes

Not included in the price of our tours?

  • Drinks taken in the restaurant with your evening meal as well as midday meals (we have excluded lunch from our inclusive package in order to make it more flexible and to allow you to eat in traditional restaurants or with local inhabitants, where we often have noodle soups for the equivalent of around 2CHF per person)
    • Please note in Laos payment in these restaurants is made in cash as credit cards are not accepted other than in ATM machines where you are able to make withdrawals
  • Clothing: we recommend that ideally you bring motorcycle pants or if not, jeans as some gravel and loose stones from roads and tracks may be thrown on to your lower legs. Shorts must not we worn while riding
  • Personal insurance: you travel at your own risk so you will need to check that your travel insurance takes into account repatriation, evacuation and damage to the bike (in the event of it being required). In the case of Swiss nationals see the ETI booklet of TCS
    • As shown above, damage to LP-Mototour bikes is not included therefore, you must have valid insurance in the event of any material damage caused

To avoid any inconvenience and ensure a pleasant journey we ask that before any reservations you send us a copy of your driving license including the categories of vehicles you are permitted to drive/ride. Please note that to participate in our tours you must be over 18 years of age and the holder of a valid driving license including the necessary categories for riding a motorcycle of 250cc.
